Customize on screen game controls using GestureWorks Gameplay

Are you tired of using the same routine gestures and touch controls while playing games in your touch-pc, tablet or mobile. Have you ever thought of creating your own controls on the screen and assign your own functionality for that controls and play games as your wish.

Good news for all you guys who are waiting for such a customizable plugin, GestureWorks Gameplay is the application which makes you happy was revealed at the Intel Developer Forum.

        GestureWorks Gameplay is an application that allows users to build custom touch and gesture-based controls for Windows 8 games. GestureWorks is planned to release in November 2013. The software lets gamer's use and build their own virtual controllers for touch devices. The controllers will appear on top of existing games. The Gameplay software works with Windows 8 tablets, Ultrabooks, 2-in-1 laptops, all-in- one devices, multi-touch tablets and large-touch screens. The software allow users to individualize the experience by creating hundreds of personalized gestures to interact on the screen.



The software will also offer "easy to use, drag-and-drop" tools to allow for custom setups. Users will be able to place "joysticks, d-pads, switches, scroll wheels and buttons anywhere on the screen, change the size, opacity, and add colors and labels". Developer Ideum plans to include "a dozen pre-built Virtual Controllers for popular Windows games" with GestureWorks.  The software will also support "over 200" gestures.


Currently, Ideum is allowing people to sign up for a beta of GestureWorks Gameplay through an official website. The beta will be released in October, with the full version of the software slated for November of this year.
